IT'S HAPPENING!!!This will be the thread to post your shinies. If you're not resizing your screenshots, or you're posting a bunch at once, please go ahead and put them under a spoiler tag! You can batch resize on postimages by using the second dropdown: Absol has also made it clear that the dates are not rigid; if you cannot play for a day and have to make it up during the week, or you're stuck doing overtime, that's fine. Happy Rumbling everybody!!

you could get shinies in this game?? man it's been so long i must've forgotten... one of the things i do remember about this game (apart for the miis <333 and the peak 3d models) is how one time i found out about an OOB glitch and liveblogged it on miiverse lmao oob glitches... just like in acnl... those were good times

dungeonmereshi yep! Only the original Rumble, which sadly only has Gens 1 and 4, but Absol made a lovely mod that adds Gens 2 and 3! If Rumble Blast ever has some sort of breakthrough to allow shiny spawns, that might end up being the new hub, but as of now it's not happened. Adding further gens is like... maaaaaybe possible, but the data for 2 and 3 already existed unused in the files, and Absol has said that adding one Gen 5+ Pokemon might be more work than the whole Weekend Edition mod. I'd love to know about this OOB glitch :0

I'd love to know about this OOB glitch :0 okay so i wanted to come post a little gallery of all the pictures i remember taking of it, but i sadly don't have access to any of my miiverse backups rn (because i did ask to receive a backup by email, so i know i have it all somewhere), the web archive only saved the most recent posts by profile (loading doesn't work when you try to scroll more), and the archiverse.guide website that organized all the posts is offline, so you only get these three: BUT! rejoice, because while the only posts i could actually access were the vivillon and the skiddo, there was actually someone who asked how i did it in the comments of the third one, and i linked them to the turtwig post where i had explained the process in the comments!!! for archival's sake, here's the original text from said comments (in french):
1. Prends un petit pokémon. 2. And here is now me translating it to the best of my ability because hot damn it's been a long ass time since i last opened this game:
1. Take a small Pokémon. 2. Call your mii with B. 3. Go to the edge of the horizontal path, and make sure your mii is on the edge too. 4. Press A until your mii picks you up. 5. Here, pay close attention, and try to wait until your shadow is over the grass (the green) as much as possible, then press A again. (it needs to be more on the grass than shown in the picture below) 6. Try to go up/north, and if you can't, then the glitch didn't work. That's ok, I didn't manage it on the first try either, just try again until you can make it up/north, on the grass.

How is everyone else's Rumbling going? I'm currently sitting at 8 shinies, with my star encounter being a boss room Lickilicky. I fully almost went back to terminal before attacking; I was kinda falling asleep at my chair tbh but this woke me right up

OK SO i know it is very not the rumble weekend anymore and also i'm still talking about rumble world despite the shinies being in rumble not-world, BUT a few days after digging up the OOB tutorial from miiverse i tried it again and YES, IT STILL WORKS!! (i did have to try a bunch of times until it did like my own guide said lol) you can really just. fuck off right out the map lmao. once you're far enough the textures bow out and leave you in the void, but you can still keep going anyway. you can even keep going downwards/towards the camera after it refuses to keep following you — i didn't go too far, so idk if there's a reset barrier or collision wall somewhere or if you end up reaching the end of the ground and fall? but you can also just keep going left or right (depending on which side you OOB'd onto) and you'll actually start going around the map. like it starts turning around and you can go behind the castle x) and if you go right behind it, it appears the "enter castle" hitbox from the door just extends infinitely in the back, so you touch it and get put inside. which would mean you really can't go between the two sides and have to OOB at least once for each to explore both.
took two more pictures to share :3 (the reason i'm posting this now is because i just transferred my latest screenshots for something else and came upon these again haha)
