Well, March is all wrapped up, so it's time to roll out our April theme! Drumroll please... APRIL SHOWERS That color was picked from Politoed, which is the perfect poster child for this theme! Because it's a little more refined than last month's color-based prompt. Here's what's on the docket: • Pokemon who learn Rain Dance by level up and Pokemon with one of the following abilities: •
• Drizzle •
• Hydration •
• Swift Swim •
• Rain Dish •
• Dry Skin •
As was the case last time, this counts even if the Pokemon evolves into something that meets these qualifications, or has ever met them. So say, you want to hunt Raikou in Gen 4, which is one generation before it learns Rain Dance by levelup. This is fine! I think it would be silly to restrict which games people can hunt in. This would be different for something like color-based challenges, but I think if a Pokemon has ever been considered to have this move in its level-up learnset, it's on theme. The badge you'll be earning this month is... As always, it's encouraged to post other on-theme things besides shiny hunts! I'd love to see your rainy day photos or a warm meal you made for staying indoors. Does anyone have a movie they like to watch when it's rainy? Do you prefer to go out and splash around or stay dry inside? |

If only I had saved my hunts for Dry Skin Heliolisk and Drizzle Politoed for a month later </3 alas, competitive battling was calling my name.
Ah well! Never hurts to hunt for another shiny. Either way, I think I know what I'm gonna look for!

I found a guy! This shiny Bingle has Swift Swim, the only normal ability a Bingle can have. Got him pretty quick through a mass outbreak w/ Shiny Charm so I think I'll hunt for another to have a whole Bingle Family. I may also do a few other hunts that fit the bill just because, but this is one I've been meaning to look for for a while. |

ah rats, I’m a bit late!! unfortunately I had way less time and energy to hunt this month than expected; I’ve had a lot of stress with irl stuff (mainly worrying about finding housing but that’s finally solved!!!). I def wanna continue the poliwag hunt since politoed has always been a goal in the back of my mind, but for now I’m gonna claim the badge with the little yellow dude I found in legends arceus earlier this month, which you can see here!!!! |
