i've never been on a proboards forum specifically, but i have been on forums before. similarly, i wouldn't really call myself a shiny hunter, but i have shiny hunted before!

- the first shiny i ever chose to hunt was a fomantis (now lurantis) by SOS in moon. it was fun and she's very pretty :‍) i like SOS i wanna do more of it, but my ultra moon save is a nuzlocke and i still only have my OG moon save but i don't like the trainer name anymore lmao rip. maybe this'll be the motivation to come back to my storylocke to use the save afterwards like i'm doing with Y right now :') i'm keeping the game only barely ahead of the story on purpose so it's uh . pretty slow progress as you can guess

- the first shiny i ever found was a random full odds slugma years ago, when i was on a trip at a friend's grandparents and had restarted alpha sapphire (my first pokémon game) for fun — i was just looking for an egg hatcher. when i tell you we lost our shit lmao. and he even had flame body! he's also still a slugma because silver is pretty <3

- the last shiny i've found was a random full odds in platinum in a static giftlocke (giftlocke where i added the static encounters) i'm doing for a nuzlocke forums event. he still feels like he shouldn't be real and the fact that his colors aren't that different doesn't help lmao

- as for the next shiny i am hunting... i totally did not go through the entire list of possible friend safari pokémon to check for green ones before checking the entirety of my friend safaris to try to decide on one to hunt in and then absolutely did not use a friend's 3ds with my X cartridge to grind catching o-powers on after walking 4k steps, because i absolutely didn't find out sigilyph's shiny is gorgeous from what i didn't do earlier and now i'm very much not trying to get 4k steps every day to hunt in a safari that has a 50% chance to give me strawberry drowzees instead because i didn't have any more strategic safaris with two shinies i would consider green and didn't feel like specifically looking for one,

so apart from constantly fighting my overthinking perfectionist tendencies and being the living embodiment of that one tumblr post, i enjoy reading, drawing, writing, comicking which is both of the previous two at once (i have a big nuzcomic i am fighting tooth and nail to release this year, because 1- its been so fucking long help me god and 2- it's chinese year of the wood dragon and the protag is an applin which is. grass/dragon. so at this point even the universe itself is holding me at gunpoint to start posting), coding/css/wiki editing, or getting ping-pong'd between my various video game hyperfixations — apart from pokémon, notable ones include hollow knight, splatoon or breath of the wild :‍)

- no i didn't misread the "nature guess" profile field i just personally don't like natures much so i thought i'd try being funny instead (but in a way at least still related to the original topic)

- i started reading dungeon meshi specifically so i could use this username that i got the idea for while pepesilvia-ing my way into finding one (due to the previous paragraph's aforementioned tendencies) (it's a very good manga i'm enjoying it a lot btw)

- this thread would have probably been titled some variation of "i want to post in other threads but i have to make this one first" if the character limit didn't hate me
